Malcolm X (1925-1965) was a human rights activist, a revolutionary who asserted the right of all people to protect and improve themselves by their own hand, the right to secure their own bodies and thrive. He was a representation of Black humanity, anguish, anger, love and power in the face of American (transnational) White Supremacy. Malcolm was a sincere purveyor of 20th century Garveyism, N.O.I. teachings and Pan Africanism.
The Malcolm X Coin Medallion Necklace is an homage to a true freedom fighter and image activist who died on a mission to decolonize the collective Black imagination. It was born out of the urgency for freedom today and the struggle for it, as there is nothing more important. It's an historical and modern heirloom at once, as his legacy transcends time and space.
This pendant is a beautiful reminder that to change from one stage of who you are characteristically, to another and yet another is an attainable gift. Malcolm so remarkably illustrated by example that anyone can grow and ultimately thrive with knowledge of self.
"Who taught you to hate the texture of your hair? Who taught you to hate the color of your skin?… Who taught you to hate the shape of your nose and the shape of your lips? Who taught you to hate yourself from the top of your head to the soles of your feet? Who taught you to hate your own kind?" - Malcolm X

Harriet Tubman (1820-1913) was responsible for the emancipation of thousands of Africans enslaved by the racist capitalist slaveowners in the United States. Her actions inspired thousands more to fight for and achieve freedom. Within 10 years, she made 19 trips to the South to escort slaves to the North by way of covert routes and a network of safe houses. She personally escorted over 300 slaves to freedom, including her parents who were then 70 years of age. When a passenger wanted to turn back due to fear or exhaustion, Tubman would pull out her gun and declare, “You’ll be free or die!” In all of her journeys on the Underground Railroad, she never lost a single passenger.
The Harriet Tubman Signet Ring is an homage to her bravery and ceaseless struggle against the enslavement of Africans as she paved the way for many female revolutionaries who followed—from Ida B. Wells to Assata Shakur and beyond. Tubman’s legacy is a reminder for all warriors today that revolutionary change is possible to achieve through organized struggle.
“If you hear the dogs, keep going. If you see the torches in the woods, keep going. If there's shouting after you, keep going. Don't ever stop. Keep going. If you want a taste of freedom, keep going.” - Harriet Tubman
