Selam (Ge'ez) Pendant Necklace

Designer Notes and Details

Inscribed in this pendant, SELAM means "Peace" in Ge'ez, a Semitic language of ancient Eritrea and Ethiopia located in the Horn of Africa. Ge'ez, and the languages that derive from it including Amharic and Tigrinya alike are the only remaining languages that use an indigenous alphabet on the entire continent of Africa. This classic necklace embodies both beauty and legacy at once.
